Security (Captcha) Tips

It has come to our attention that approximately 1 in 500 users of our search facility cannot see the words in the Security Captcha box. We have investigated this extensively and have come to the conclusion at this point that the problem is caused by an external factor beyond our control such as the users' computer settings, or the ISP they use.

An issue that has been brought to our attention is that, particularly for users with the Firefox browser, you need to ensure that you have Javascript enabled.

If you experience this problem please take one or more of the following steps . . .

1) Try a different computer, and/or a different browser (e.g. if you use Internet Explorer, then perhaps try installing Mozilla Firefox instead which may or may not solve the problem but will provide you with an alternative (in my opinion better) browsing experience anyway!)

2) Contact Recaptcha explaining the problem you experience, and providing details your computer setup (including which browser and security software you use). The address is http://recaptcha.net/contact.html

1) The answer to the problem on your computer may require a degree of technical proficiency to implement.
